Installation, Repair and Replacement of John Deere 165, 175, 185 Hydro Lawn Tractor Drive Belt

First, remove mower deck (#1). It is not necessary to remove the electric PTO clutch.

Remove two carriage bolts and nuts from the steering support (#4). You can now rotate the support as needed to maneuver belt.

Remove cotter pin and clevis pin from transmission linkage (#3, green arrow).

Disconnect drag link from steering arm (#8, green arrow).

It is now possible remove the old belt and install a new one.
